Babe is a sweet and striking fella with a huge, unforgettable head and an even bigger heart. He’s already a neighborhood favorite — people recognize him instantly and he’s always eager to say hello. Whether it’s adults or kids, Babe is thrilled to make new friends and loves soaking up all the pets he can get.
Babe is still new to his person, so he hasn’t had a lot of dog-to-dog socializing yet. On walks, he’s perfectly content giving other dogs space and will calmly cross the street when needed. He is very interested in cats and squirrels, so some gentle redirection (and avoidance where possible!) keeps things smooth. He’s working on reducing pulling and making steady progress through work with a trainer.
Babe also loves a car rides and at home, he's a cuddle machine. He’s treat-motivated, which makes training fun and rewarding for both sides. Babe knows sit, shake, down, and roll over. And he's currently working on place, come and leave it commands.
Babe is fully potty trained, non-destructive, and totally fine being left home alone. He enjoys his toys, but he’s a strong chewer, so he’ll need durable, tough options.
If you’re looking for a lovable companion who brings joy everywhere he goes, Babe is ready to wag his way into your heart.
Babe is currently fostered in Oakland, CA. Message taryn.ness@gmail.com to meet Babe and for more info.
